The factory Ford 6R140 TorqShift transmission is designed to vary line pressure between 70 and 170 psi. While adequate for stock vehicles, this range is often insufficient for heavy-duty towing or high-horsepower applications. The BD Diesel 1030385 PressureLoc is a precision solenoid replacement that overrides factory line pressure commands to maximize transmission output for improved torque capacity.
By delivering up to 320 psi of apply pressure—a 79% increase in holding power—this upgrade effectively prevents clutch slippage and shift flare, two primary causes of premature transmission failure. The PressureLoc is designed for a fast and simple installation and will not conflict with existing engine or transmission tuning.
