The Bilstein B16 (PSS9) suspension system provides professional-level handling control for the E39 chassis. This kit features a 9-stage manual damping adjustment system that modifies both rebound and compression settings simultaneously with every click, allowing you to fine-tune the suspension for street comfort or track-focused stiffness. Unlike generic lowering kits, the B16 series utilizes matched springs and monotube gas-pressure dampers specifically tuned for the weight and geometry of the V8-powered 5 Series.
The threaded zinc-coated bodies allow for precise ride height adjustments, typically providing a lowering range of 30mm to 50mm. Each component is protected by Bilstein's Triple-C Coating for long-term corrosion resistance against road salts and debris. Engineered and tested on the Nürburgring, this kit replaces the factory dampers and springs with a direct-fit, OE-quality solution designed for superior heat dissipation and consistent damping force.
