The Bilstein B8 Performance Plus damper is a high-pressure gas monotube shock absorber specifically engineered to be paired with aftermarket lowering springs or factory sport suspensions. Unlike standard dampers, the B8 features shortened piston rods and application-specific valving to ensure the suspension maintains proper travel and rebound control when the vehicle's ride height is reduced. This provides a sportier feel and improved handling precision without sacrificing the composure required for daily driving.
