The Bilstein B8 Performance Plus strut insert is a high-pressure gas monotube damper engineered specifically for vehicles equipped with aftermarket lowering springs or factory sport suspensions. Unlike standard replacement dampers, the B8 is shortened to provide the necessary piston travel and spring tension for lowered ride heights, delivering a controlled, sporty feel while maintaining road comfort.
Featuring a 36mm monotube design, this strut insert (MPN: 34-030196) provides superior heat dissipation and consistent damping force under demanding conditions. It is a direct-fit performance upgrade that replaces the factory front strut internals to bring out the best handling characteristics of the BMW E34 chassis.
