Bilstein B8 5165 remote reservoir shock absorbers are engineered for custom off-road suspension builds that demand extended wheel travel and superior thermal management. These 46mm monotube shocks utilize a high gas pressure design paired with a remote reservoir to significantly increase oil capacity, which facilitates rapid heat dissipation and ensures fade-free performance during high-intensity trail use. The self-adjusting deflective disc valving reacts instantly to surface changes, maintaining precise vehicle control in the harshest environments.
Designed for versatile installation, each shock is equipped with a 360-degree swivel banjo hose fitting for a clean, low-profile reservoir mount. The eyelet-to-eyelet configuration utilizes 5/8-inch openings with heavy-duty hour glass bushings to withstand the stresses of high-articulation off-roading. With 13.3 inches of travel and a 255/70 valve rate, these shocks provide the damping control needed for custom-tuned light truck and SUV applications.
