The Borla ATAK (Acoustically Tuned Applied Kinetics) axle-back exhaust system is engineered for Camaro enthusiasts seeking the highest decibel levels in Borla's street-legal lineup without the interior drone. This system replaces the restrictive factory rear section with high-flow T-304 stainless steel mufflers and mandrel-bent tubing to optimize exhaust velocity and tone. Designed specifically for the V6 powerplant, the ATAK technology acts like a graphic equalizer, shaping sound waves to provide a crisp, high-volume output that remains clear across the entire RPM range.
This configuration features dual 4-inch polished T-304 stainless steel tips on each muffler assembly. While this system is designed to fit vehicles with the Dual Mode Exhaust (NPP) valance, it does not include the valves themselves. Owners of vehicles with single-tip factory exhausts must update to an NPP-style rear bumper valance for proper fitment. For those wishing to retain or add functional valves, Borla adapter kit 60605 can be utilized.
