The Borla S-Type Axle-Back exhaust system is engineered to provide a deep, aggressive tone for the 3.8L V6 engine while maintaining the refined driving experience needed for an SUV. Featuring Borla's proprietary No-Drone guarantee, this 2.5-inch diameter system uses patented straight-through and multi-core technology to improve exhaust velocity and flow without cabin resonance. This specific part number (11979) supersedes the previous Borla system 11965.
Constructed from premium T-304 austenitic stainless steel, the system is built to handle both highway and off-road conditions with superior corrosion resistance. It features dual 4-inch by 2-inch rectangular polished stainless steel tips for a finished OE-plus look. The two-piece front pipe design ensures precise alignment and a bolt-on installation using factory mounting points.
