This Borla Turbo XL universal muffler features a transverse flow design, specifically engineered for custom exhaust systems or as a replacement for GM F-Body (Camaro and Firebird) applications where the muffler mounts behind and parallel to the rear axle. The configuration includes a single 2.5-inch offset inlet and dual 2.5-inch offset outlets; the inlet and one outlet are located on one end of the case, while the second outlet is positioned on the opposite end. The reversible case design allows for maximum installation flexibility.

Constructed from premium T-304 austenitic stainless steel, this muffler is built for long-term durability and corrosion resistance. The 100% welded assembly provides superior structural integrity, while the high-temperature continuous-filament fiber (CFF) acoustic material ensures consistent sound control without the blowout risks of traditional packing. The free-flow internal design reduces backpressure to improve exhaust scavenging and overall performance. Necks are un-notched, requiring weld-in installation or the use of 18004 band clamps.
