The Borla S-Type 40842S universal muffler delivers the signature aggressive exhaust note and high-flow performance for custom exhaust applications. Engineered for tight spaces, its compact, reversible housing allows for maximum installation flexibility. This muffler is built from premium T-304 austenitic stainless steel, ensuring it will never rust, and features 100% welded construction for long-term structural integrity.
Internally, the free-flow design minimizes backpressure while high-temperature continuous-filament fiber (CFF) acoustic material provides consistent sound control without the packing blowout common in lesser mufflers. The un-notched necks are specifically designed for a secure weld-in installation; if you prefer clamping, 3-inch wide band clamps (part 18004) are required.
