Unlike factory powdered metal gears that can shatter under stress, this unit is CNC machined from billet steel for maximum structural integrity.
This specific "Grip" version features a specialized high-friction surface treatment. This coating increases the coefficient of friction between the gear and the crankshaft snout, significantly reducing the risk of the gear spinning or slipping—a common failure point on the Coyote platform that can lead to catastrophic engine timing issues.
