This gasket is constructed from multiple embossed layers of high-grade stainless steel to resist corrosion and rebound under extreme cylinder pressures. Its design effectively handles the shearing forces created by different thermal expansion rates between head and block materials.

The outer layers are coated on both sides with Viton, a fluoroelastomer rubber capable of withstanding temperatures up to 250°C (482°F). This coating ensures a reliable seal across various surface finishes and load conditions, while the uncoated stainless steel center shim layer provides precise thickness. Designed to reduce bore distortion and distribute load evenly, this gasket requires no additional sealants or re-torquing after installation.
