The Cometic C14028 timing cover gasket is engineered using AFM (Aluminum Foam Material) to provide a superior, leak-free seal between the timing cover and engine block. This specialized material consists of a chemically blown, compounded nitrile synthetic rubber bonded to a high-strength aluminum core. Designed for durability and ease of installation, this gasket does not require additional liquid sealants or re-torquing after heat cycles.
- AFM Technology: Features an 85 percent recovery rate for consistent sealing performance under thermal expansion.
- Heat Resistance: Rated for operating temperatures exceeding 205° Fahrenheit.
- Torque Retention: The aluminum core provides strong torque retention to prevent hardware loosening over time.
