The Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) Right Hand Side (RHS) head gasket is engineered to provide a superior seal for high-performance 5.0L Coyote engines. Constructed from three to five layers of high-grade stainless steel, this gasket offers enhanced strength, excellent rebound characteristics, and high resistance to corrosion. The outer layers are embossed and precision-coated with a specialized Viton rubber material, designed to maintain integrity under harsh load conditions and across varied surface finishes.
This MLS design is specifically developed to require less clamp load than traditional gaskets, which helps minimize cylinder bore distortion and ensures even load distribution across the entire sealing area. The Viton coating remains stable in extreme thermal environments, with heat resistance rated up to 250°C (482°F).
