Engineered for high-performance sealing, Cometic MLS (Multi-Layer Steel) exhaust gaskets provide a superior solution for engines facing extreme cylinder pressures. These gaskets feature multiple layers of embossed stainless steel to maintain a precise torque set and resist the common burn-through or push-out issues seen with traditional composite materials. The center shim layer allows for a precise .030-inch thickness that compensates for surface variations while requiring less clamp load, which helps minimize bore distortion during installation.
