Fits select 2002-2014 Acura and Honda models (K20/K24) including RSX, Accord, Civic Si, CR-V, and Element.
The Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is engineered to provide maximum sealing performance for high-output K-Series engines. Constructed from multiple layers of embossed stainless steel, this gasket creates a superior seal that requires no additional sealants. The stainless steel construction provides the necessary rebound and corrosion resistance to withstand the shearing forces generated between aluminum heads and blocks or aluminum heads and cast iron blocks.
The outer layers are embossed and coated on both sides with Viton, a fluoroelastomer rubber-based material capable of resisting temperatures up to 250°C (482°F). This specialized coating ensures a reliable seal across various surface finishes and load conditions while reducing bore distortion by requiring less clamp load.
