The Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket provides maximum sealing performance for high-output Honda K-Series engines. Engineered to withstand the extreme cylinder pressures and shearing forces common in performance builds, this gasket requires no additional sealants. Its stainless steel construction ensures high strength, rebound ability, and resistance to corrosion in both aluminum-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-cast iron configurations.
The outer layers are embossed and coated on both sides with Viton, a high-performance fluoroelastomer rated for temperatures up to 250°C (482°F). This design allows the gasket to conform to varying surface finishes and load conditions while requiring less clamp load, which helps minimize bore distortion. The center shim layer provides precise thickness control for your specific engine requirements.
