Fits 1997-2001 Honda Prelude Base and Type SH models equipped with the H22A4 engine.
The Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket provides superior sealing performance for high-output engines, requiring no additional sealants. This gasket is engineered to handle the shearing forces found in aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-cast-iron applications, utilizing multiple embossed layers of stainless steel that offer excellent rebound and corrosion resistance.
The outer layers are coated on both sides with Viton, a high-performance fluor elastomer rubber designed to withstand temperatures up to 250°C (482°F) and various surface finishes. This design ensures consistent load distribution across the sealing area while requiring less clamp load, which helps minimize bore distortion during installation.
