Unlike standard gaskets, the Cometic MLS design requires no additional sealants and resists the corrosive effects of modern fluids.

The outer layers are precision-embossed and coated on both sides with Viton, a high-performance fluoroelastomer capable of withstanding temperatures up to 250°C (482°F). This specialized coating ensures a reliable seal across various surface finishes and load conditions while reducing bore distortion by requiring less clamp load than traditional composite gaskets.
