The Cometic MLX (Multi-Layer Stopper) head gasket is engineered for high-performance 4B11T applications where combustion chamber sealing is critical. Constructed from multiple embossed layers of stainless steel, the outer layers feature a specialized Viton rubber coating to ensure a micro-seal against the block and head surfaces. The defining feature is the integrated stopper layer, which provides a superior clamp load around the cylinder bore without increasing bore distortion, making it an essential upgrade for high-boost applications.
