The Cometic MLX (Multi-Layer Stopper) head gasket is engineered to handle the high cylinder pressures found in performance turbocharged engines. Constructed from multiple embossed layers of stainless steel, this gasket features an integrated stopper layer that provides a superior combustion chamber seal. This design improves the clamp load around the cylinder while specifically reducing bore distortion for better ring seal.
The outer layers utilize a Viton rubber coating to ensure a reliable seal across coolant and oil passages. Cometic MLX technology is designed for a precise fit that requires no additional sealants or re-torquing after installation.
