Fits select 1991-2002 Nissan and Infiniti vehicles equipped with FWD SR20DE/DET engines, including the G20, 200SX, NX, and Sentra.
Engineered for high-output racing and street applications, the Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket provides maximum sealing performance without the need for additional sealants. This specific configuration is designed for front-wheel-drive (FWD) SR20 platforms and features no additional oil holes. The MLS construction is ideal for both aluminum-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-cast-iron engine blocks, as it effectively handles the shearing forces created by different thermal expansion rates.
This gasket is comprised of multiple layers of embossed stainless steel for increased strength, rebound capability, and corrosion resistance. The outer layers are coated on both sides with Viton, a fluoroelastomer rubber-based material that is heat resistant up to 250°C (482°F). The center shim layer is made of uncoated stainless steel, which can be varied to accommodate specific thickness requirements while ensuring uniform load distribution across the sealing area.
