Engineered for high-output environments, the Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) Head Gasket provides superior sealing performance for both aluminum-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-cast iron engine configurations. This gasket is constructed from multiple layers of embossed stainless steel, providing the rebound and corrosion resistance necessary to withstand the shearing forces and thermal expansion common in performance applications.
The outer layers are coated on both sides with Viton, a high-temperature fluoroelastomer capable of resisting temperatures up to 250°C (482°F). This advanced coating ensures a reliable seal across various surface finishes and load conditions, while the uncoated stainless steel shim layer maintains structural integrity under extreme pressure without the need for additional sealants.
