Fits select 2003-2008 Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, Durango, Magnum, Ram 1500/2500/3500, Jeep Commander, and Jeep Grand Cherokee.
High-performance valve springs require retainers capable of managing the higher pressures and stresses developed in racing and high-lift street applications. COMP Cams Steel Retainers are engineered using 3D CAD with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to provide a modern, contoured top profile. This design reduces mass and lowers stress concentrations, facilitating increased valve lift and better valvetrain stability.
Each retainer is CNC-machined to exacting tolerances from high-grade, lead-free SAE 4140 chromemoly steel. These 7-degree retainers are specifically designed to work with COMP Cams 26918 series springs and compatible 7-degree locks, providing a precise fit for high-performance engine builds.
