The CSF High Performance Stepped Core Intercooler System (8285B) is engineered to solve the heat soak issues common in high-performance applications. During real-world testing conducted by MotoIQ, this intercooler reduced charge air temperatures by more than 240°F—a 90°F improvement over the factory system. This allows the G16E-GTS engine to maintain intake air temperatures (IATs) just a few degrees over ambient, significantly delaying the onset of heat soak compared to the OEM unit.

Constructed with 100% TIG-welded end tanks, this unit replaces the factory crimped plastic tanks to ensure maximum strength and durability under high boost. The high-performance tube and fin stepped core design maximizes surface area contact and internal airflow volume. This kit also upgrades the factory plumbing with larger 2.5-inch (63.5mm) inlet and outlet connections using included motorsport-grade hoses and clamps.
