The Cusco Type OS Front Strut Tower Bar is designed to enhance chassis rigidity by bridging the gap between the shock towers. This reduction in strut tower flex during aggressive cornering and high-load driving helps maintain consistent suspension geometry, leading to more precise steering response and improved front-end feedback. This bar is a direct performance upgrade for drivers looking to sharpen the handling characteristics of their Lexus IS.
The assembly features a high-strength aluminum oval-section (Type OS) bar for a balance of weight and stiffness, paired with steel end plate brackets finished in iconic Cusco Blue. Note that installation requires modification to the factory engine bay side covers for proper clearance. This part is specifically designed for the 2nd generation chassis and does not fit 3rd generation models.
