The DBA 5000 Series XS brake rotor offers a significant performance upgrade for the R35 GT-R, utilizing a two-piece design to manage the extreme thermal loads generated by high-speed braking. By pairing a high-carbon iron ring with a 6061-T6 aluminum hat, these rotors reduce unsprung weight and improve heat dissipation, protecting wheel bearings from heat soak while enhancing suspension response.
The XS series features a specifically engineered drilled and slotted pattern. The cross-drilling provides increased surface area for cooling and improved initial bite, while the slots efficiently clear brake dust, debris, and gases to maintain a clean contact patch between the pad and rotor. This assembly comes pre-mounted with a black anodized hat for a clean, corrosion-resistant finish.
