The DEI 10488 Oil Cooler Heat Shroud is a specialized thermal management solution designed to shield oil lines from intense radiant heat generated by the engine and exhaust. Excessive heat soak in these lines can lead to elevated engine oil temperatures, a common trigger for "limp mode" in high-performance C7 Corvette models during track use or spirited driving.
Featuring a convenient split design with a hook-and-loop fastening system, these sleeves wrap directly around the oil cooler lines. This eliminates the need to disconnect lines or drain the oil system, allowing for a fast and clean installation. The shroud effectively reflects radiant heat to maintain lower fluid temperatures and protect sensitive components.
