The DEI 10529 Universal Muffler Shield Kit is engineered to eliminate radiant heat soak from mufflers into the cabin floor and surrounding components. Utilizing high-performance materials based on DEI's Floor and Tunnel Shield II, this kit wraps around almost any muffler body to significantly lower interior temperatures and protect sensitive underbody parts.
Constructed from 10mil dimpled aluminum bonded to a 1/8-inch needle glass insulator, the shield can be easily trimmed for a custom fit. The included 40-inch stainless steel positive locking ties ensure a secure, tight installation that resists vibration and extreme heat. Note: This kit is intended for street-legal vehicle use; for racing or heavy industrial applications, Form-A-Shield is recommended.
