Replace the heavy, multi-piece factory drivetrain assembly with The Driveshaft Shop 1-piece aluminum dual CV driveshaft. Designed specifically for the high-performance demands of the CTS-V, this upgrade eliminates the problematic center support bearing and rubber flex couplers found in the original equipment. By moving to a 1-piece aluminum design, you significantly reduce rotational mass for improved throttle response and more efficient power transfer to the rear wheels.
This driveshaft features precision-engineered CV joints at both ends, which are superior to traditional U-joints for independent rear suspension (IRS) applications. They allow for smooth operation through a wider range of motion and eliminate the vibration common in high-horsepower builds. Built from high-grade aluminum tubing and balanced to exacting tolerances, this unit is a direct-fit solution for street and track use.
