Eagle H-Beam connecting rods provide the structural integrity required for high-performance and competition 1.8L builds. These rods are manufactured from a two-piece 4340 steel forging, a process that optimizes grain flow for superior strength compared to cast or billet alternatives. Each rod is fully machined and shot-peened to reduce surface stress and improve fatigue life, ensuring durability under high-boost or high-RPM conditions.
Sizing is held to extremely tight tolerances, and each set is weight-matched to ensure rotating assembly balance. To handle increased cylinder pressures and reciprocating loads, this set includes premium ARP 2000 bolts, providing significantly higher clamping force than standard fasteners. These rods are an essential upgrade for any 1.8L engine undergoing a performance rebuild.
