Fits select 1996-2006 BMW 5 Series (530i, 540i, M5), 7 Series (740i, 740iL), and X5 (3.0i, 4.4i). EBC Redstuff Ceramic brake pads are engineered for high-performance street use on premium sedans and sport compacts, offering a significant reduction in brake dust and improved stopping power over standard OE components.
The Redstuff compound is a ceramic-enhanced synthetic fiber material that contains no steel fiber particles, making the minimal dust produced much easier to clean and less abrasive to your wheels. These pads are designed for repeated heavy braking, maintaining a high friction coefficient of 0.5 and superior resistance to heat fade. Each pad features EBC’s proprietary Brake-In red surface coating, which conditions the rotor surface and accelerates the bed-in process for immediate safety and performance.
- 60-90% reduction in brake dust compared to semi-metallic pads
- Nominal friction coefficient of 0.5 for high-friction stopping power
- Ceramic-enhanced synthetic fiber compound (DP31036C)
- ECE R90 brake safety regulation approved for most applications
