EBC Brakes GD Sport Series rotors (GD7083) are engineered for the high-demand environments of heavy-duty trucks and SUVs. Constructed from OE-spec grey cast iron, these rotors feature a dimpled and slotted design specifically built to combat brake fade during towing or high-speed driving. Unlike fully drilled rotors, the blind-drilled dimples maintain structural integrity by preventing stress cracks while still allowing for effective degassing of the brake pad.
The wide-aperture slots serve a dual purpose: they draw cool air into the braking zone to reduce operating temperatures and act as a pathway to eject dirt, dust, and moisture. Each rotor is precision-tested for tensile strength, grain structure, and hardness, then finished with a black anodized coating to resist corrosion in harsh environments.
