EBC Brakes Redstuff ceramic brake pads are engineered for high-performance street use and premium sedans. This synthetic fiber-based compound is enhanced with ceramic particles to provide a high nominal friction coefficient of 0.5 while significantly reducing brake dust by 60-90% compared to standard semi-metallic pads. Because the compound contains no steel fibers, the minimal dust produced is non-abrasive and easily removed with a simple sponge wash.
Proven to stop vehicles up to 13 meters shorter from 100 mph (160 kph) compared to OEM pads, Redstuff offers high heat fade resistance and superior cold-braking performance. These pads feature EBC's proprietary Brake-In red surface coating, which conditions the rotor surface and accelerates the bedding process. Due to the hard-wearing nature of this high-performance ceramic material, a bed-in period of up to 1,000 miles may be required for the pads to fully conform to the rotor shape.
