EBC Redstuff (DP31589C) is a premium ceramic-enhanced synthetic fiber brake pad designed specifically for fast street driving and heavy luxury sedans. This compound significantly reduces brake dust by 60% to 90% compared to standard semi-metallic pads. Because the material contains no steel fiber particles, any minimal dust generated is non-abrasive and easily washed from wheel surfaces.
These pads provide excellent cold-bite performance and maintain a high friction coefficient of 0.5 even as temperatures rise during repeated heavy braking. Each pad features EBC's proprietary Brake-In red surface coating, which conditions the rotor surface and accelerates the bed-in process for immediate safety and performance. Note that due to the hard-wearing nature of the ceramic compound, full bed-in may take up to 1,000 miles to achieve perfect rotor contact.
