This compound provides a 0.5 nominal friction coefficient, offering a firm pedal feel and reliable cold bite that matches or exceeds OE performance while resisting heat fade during repeated heavy braking. Each pad features EBC’s proprietary Brake-In™ red surface coating to help condition the rotor surface and accelerate the bedding-in process. Due to the hard-wearing nature of these ceramic pads, a patient 1,000-mile bed-in period is recommended to ensure the pads fully conform to the brake rotors for optimal performance.
