EBC Redstuff Ceramic Brake Pads are engineered as a premium performance upgrade for heavy street use and high-performance sedans or hot hatches. This synthetic fiber-based compound is reinforced with ceramic particles, offering a high friction coefficient of 0.5 without the use of steel fiber. This specific construction significantly reduces brake dust by 60% to 90%, and any remaining dust is non-metallic, preventing it from etching into wheel finishes.
Designed for immediate cold bite, Redstuff pads maintain consistent performance as temperatures rise during repeated heavy braking. Each pad features EBC’s proprietary Brake-In surface coating, which conditions the rotor surface and speeds up the initial bed-in process. Note that due to the hard-wearing nature of the ceramic material, full bed-in can take up to 1,000 miles to achieve optimal rotor contact.
