EBC Ultimax Slotted Rotors provide a performance-oriented alternative to factory discs, engineered specifically to address the wind noise typically associated with slotted brake rotors. These rotors feature progressively angled slots that maintain efficient cooling and degassing without the excessive air turbulence common in traditional designs.
The slot design serves two critical functions: it creates a pathway for cool air to reach the rotor surface, preventing heat soak during repeated stops, and it continuously sweeps away brake dust, gases, and debris. This maintains a clean friction surface for the pads, ensuring consistent bite and increasing pad longevity by preventing glazing. These rotors are a direct bolt-on replacement for the factory units, maintaining original equipment dimensions while improving thermal management.
