EBC Brakes Redstuff Ceramic brake pads are engineered for high-performance street use and premium sedans where low dust and superior stopping power are required. This synthetic fiber-based compound is enhanced with ceramic particles, providing a significant upgrade over factory pads by reducing brake dust by 60-90%. Unlike semi-metallic pads, Redstuff contains no steel fibers, meaning the minimal dust produced is non-abrasive and easily washed away.
Designed for repeated heavy braking, these pads feature a high nominal friction coefficient of 0.5. They provide excellent cold bite and maintain high resistance to heat fade as temperatures rise. Each set includes the EBC Brake-In surface coating, which conditions the rotor surface and accelerates the bed-in process. Note that as a hard-wearing performance pad, a patient break-in period of up to 1,000 miles is required for the pads to fully conform to the rotor surface.
