The EBC S13 Brake Pad and Rotor Kit (MPN S13KR1069) is a comprehensive braking solution designed to enhance the stopping power and longevity of your BMW. This kit features high-friction pads paired with rotors protected by a specialized Thermic Black anti-corrosion coating. This Geomet-style finish provides long-lasting resistance against rust, particularly in non-contact areas, ensuring the rotors maintain a clean appearance over time.
- Thermic Black Coating: A protective anti-rust finish that does not need to be removed prior to installation.
- Automatic Bed-In: The brake pads naturally remove the coating from the pad swept area within the first 10 to 20 stops.
- Matched Performance: Engineered for consistent friction and heat management when installed as a complete axle set.
- Technical Note: Never use brake cleaner or other solvents to remove the Thermic Black coating, as this will void the manufacturer warranty.
- Safety Requirement: Ensure that upgraded pads are fitted to the front of the vehicle if upgrades are being installed on the rear to maintain proper brake bias.
