The EBC S2 Brake Pad and Rotor Kit (S2KF1499) provides a significant upgrade over factory braking components by combining high-performance friction materials with precision-machined rotors. This kit is specifically designed for enthusiasts who require consistent stopping power and a clean, rust-free appearance. The rotors are treated with a specialized Thermic Black anti-corrosion coating, providing long-lasting resistance against oxidation and road salt.
Technical installation note: The Thermic Black coating should NOT be removed before installation. Avoid using brake cleaner or other solvents on the rotors. This protective layer is engineered to be safely removed from the pad swept area during the initial 10 to 20 stops after installation. To ensure balanced vehicle dynamics, performance brake upgrades should always be fitted to both the front and rear of the vehicle.
