The EBC Brakes S5 Series Brake Kit (S5KF1625) is a high-efficiency sport upgrade engineered for drivers demanding maximum stopping power from their fast street car, SUV, or light truck. This matched kit combines EBC’s flagship Yellowstuff high-friction pads with GD series wide-aperture sport rotors to significantly uprate braking performance over stock setups while managing the high thermal loads of aggressive driving.
Yellowstuff pads feature a GG friction rating for high-initial bite and consistent performance. Each pad is fully shimmed, chamfered, and slotted to minimize noise and is finished with a patented Brake-In coating to ensure rapid seating. The accompanying GD series rotors are cast from G3000 alloy and feature wide-aperture slots and spot drilling. This design provides superior cooling and effectively sweeps away dust, gas, and debris to maintain a clean pad-to-rotor contact patch. All rotors are finished with a Geomet anti-rust coating to ensure long-lasting corrosion resistance.
