Fits 1997-2004 Volkswagen Golf (GL, GLS, GTI, GTI GLS, Jazz, K2, Trek, and Wolfsburg Edition).
The EBC Brakes S9 series kit is a comprehensive braking upgrade designed to replace worn OE components with high-performance pads and rotors. This kit features EBC rotors treated with a specialized Thermic Black (Geomet) anti-corrosion coating, engineered to provide long-term resistance against rust in harsh environments. The coating is designed to remain on the non-swept areas of the rotor, while the brake pads naturally remove the coating from the contact surface within the first 10 to 20 stops.
- Manufacturer Part Number: S9KF1624
- Includes matched brake pads and rotors for optimized friction performance.
- Thermic Black coating provides superior corrosion resistance.
- Installation Note: Do NOT use brake cleaner or mechanical methods to remove the black coating; it will wear off naturally during the bedding-in process.
- Safety Note: If installing as a rear upgrade, ensure a matching upgrade is also fitted to the front of the vehicle.
