The Exedy HF02 lightweight flywheel is engineered to reduce rotational inertia, providing significantly sharper throttle response and quicker acceleration. Unlike multi-piece aluminum flywheels where the ring gear is pressed on, this Exedy flywheel is manufactured from a solid one-piece billet chromoly steel forging. This monolithic construction eliminates the risk of ring gear separation caused by varying expansion coefficients between aluminum and steel, ensuring maximum durability under high-stress conditions.

Designed for street performance, drag racing, autocross, and rally, these flywheels incorporate specialized design features to enhance airflow and cooling for the clutch assembly. Every HF02 unit is SFI-certified and has been rigorously tested to sustain speeds between 15,000 and 18,000 RPM without failure.
