Engineered to significantly reduce rotational mass, the Fidanza 130331 aluminum flywheel is 40% to 60% lighter than factory cast iron units. By lowering the Moment of Inertia (MOI), this flywheel allows the engine to transfer power to the drivetrain more efficiently, resulting in faster throttle response and quicker acceleration. The body is CNC-machined from high-grade billet 6061 T6 or 2024 T4 aluminum for a precise balance of strength and weight savings.
Built for longevity and serviceability, this flywheel features a replaceable friction plate made from 1050 hardened steel, allowing you to refresh the clutch surface without replacing the entire flywheel. The 1050 steel ring gear is heat-treated and secured with military-spec fasteners to ensure reliability under high-RPM use. This is a direct bolt-on upgrade designed to work with factory-style clutch kits.
