Fits 1990-1993 Mazda Miata Base, LE, and SE models. Specifically engineered to reduce rotating mass, this Fidanza aluminum flywheel weighs just 8 lbs, making it 40-60% lighter than the factory component.
By lowering the Moment of Inertia (MOI), this flywheel (MPN 161161) allows the engine to transfer power more efficiently and rev faster, resulting in quicker acceleration and sharper throttle response. The body is CNC-machined from high-strength billet 6061 T6 or 2024 T4 aluminum for durability and precise tolerances. For long-term serviceability, it features a bolt-on replaceable friction plate made from heat-treated 1050 steel, allowing you to refresh the clutch surface without replacing the entire flywheel.
