The Fidanza 161181 8lb aluminum flywheel is a high-performance upgrade designed to significantly reduce rotational mass and the Moment of Inertia (MOI). This reduction in weight—40-60% lighter than stock cast-iron flywheels—frees up horsepower and allows for faster throttle response and quicker acceleration. The body is CNC-machined from billet 6061 T6 or 2024 T4 aluminum for strength and durability.
Unlike one-piece flywheels, Fidanza units feature a bolt-on replaceable 1050 steel friction plate, allowing for easy servicing without replacing the entire unit. When selecting a replacement friction kit, please confirm whether your specific flywheel uses an 18-bolt or 20-bolt pattern.
