When installing a Fluidampr performance damper on your 6.6L Duramax engine, secure mounting is critical to managing increased torque and vibration. Fluidampr recommends this High Strength Bolt Kit to ensure maximum clamping force and long-term reliability. The kit features a premium, heat-treated high-strength bolt manufactured by ARP, providing the tensile strength required for heavy-duty and performance diesel applications.
A critical component of this kit is the included diamond-impregnated friction washer. This specialized washer significantly increases the coefficient of friction between the crankshaft snout and the damper hub, preventing the rotational slip that can occur under high-stress conditions.
