The Fox 2.0 Performance Series Smooth Body Remote Reservoir rear shock (MPN 985-24-012) provides industry-leading off-road control and a predictable on-road ride. By utilizing an external reservoir design, this shock increases oil and nitrogen capacity to significantly improve heat dissipation and resist damping fade during aggressive trail use. The 2.0-inch shock body is constructed from impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum, which dissipates heat four times faster than conventional steel bodies and provides superior corrosion resistance.

Inside, the race-developed high-flow piston works in conjunction with an internal floating piston (IFP) to separate the shock oil from the high-pressure nitrogen gas. This design eliminates oil aeration, ensuring consistent valving performance regardless of terrain. Hourglass bushings are included to allow for increased articulation, while the heavy-duty 5/8-inch hard chrome plated heat-treated alloy steel shaft provides the durability required for extreme off-road environments.
