The Fox 2.0 Performance Series Remote Reservoir smooth body shock (985-24-058) is engineered to enhance off-road capability while maintaining precise on-road comfort. This shock features a 12.1-inch travel design with an external reservoir that increases oil and nitrogen capacity, effectively dissipating heat four times faster than conventional materials to prevent damping fade. The 2.0-inch metal-impacted 6061-T6 aluminum body provides a durable, corrosion-resistant housing that is CNC machined for exact tolerances.
Internally, this shock utilizes a race-developed high-flow piston and an Internal Floating Piston (IFP) to separate the shock oil from the high-pressure nitrogen gas. This design eliminates oil aeration, ensuring consistent, predictable valving performance in harsh environments. The redundant sealing system and heat-treated spherical bearings provide a long service life, while the entire unit remains fully serviceable and tunable.
