The Fox 2.5 Performance Series Smooth Body IFP HTO shock delivers race-proven damping technology in a bolt-on package designed for heavy-duty trucks. Built with a 2.5-inch impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum body, this shock dissipates heat four times faster than conventional steel shocks, maintaining consistent performance during aggressive off-road use. The Internal Floating Piston (IFP) design eliminates oil aeration by separating the high-pressure nitrogen gas from the shock oil, while the specialized Hydraulic Top Out (HTO) piston prevents harsh bottoming and topping out on rough terrain.

Valved specifically for the weight and suspension geometry of GM heavy-duty platforms, these shocks reduce vehicle sway and improve wheel control. The 5/8-inch hard chrome-plated heat-treated alloy steel shaft provides incredible strength, and the entire assembly is fully rebuildable and re-tunable for long-term serviceability.
